so. let's talk about that episode shall we?

major ii 17 spoilers under the cut, and lots of theories. read at your own risk.

I have no idea what to even think about that episode. I watched this at about 8 in the morning my time, and now I am in shambles and have been for the last several hours. I'm going to dump all my theories in this one blog post.

my first topic, and the elephant in the room - THIS IS NOT THE LAST ACT. NO WAY.

I've seen people asking if this is the last act and therefore the last ever episode in the series, and to that I say... obviously not. there's still so many plot points to be resolved.

like, for example, why would they add in a scene of the prime shimmers going to the contestant grounds if they weren't going to do something for it later?

yes I know that they were already used as merely a small plot device to allow the episode to progress, but when you think of it in the grand scheme of things there must be something more to it.

also, and - I may be going crazy here - but there might possibly be some sort of parallel of when cobs tells mephone to go "home" with him. we now know that all those previous theories of mephone being made with the shimmer egg are correct, because of fan. since that is the case, I feel like it would make sense for mephone's true home to be with the prime shimmer, right?

I feel like this could be a plot point in the next act. mephone feels more at home with the prime shimmer than he does with cobs (obviously). he would meet them and realise he feels strangely connected to them, and then he figures everything out which leads up to him discovering his true family. and I hope cobs rots and dies FOREVERRR

another point to add onto this is that remember how soap and mic took that photo together in the last episode?

well, soap was going through her recently deleted.

on apple (and I'm assuming meeple as well) devices, it takes 30 days for photos in the recently deleted photo to be fully erased from the device. before that, you can restore and fully erase as many photos as you like.

at the end of this episode when everything created by melife has been erased, baxter is seen walking up to soap's phone here.

in a scene where everything is gone, don't you think this is weirdly symbolic? they didn't have any other reason to show this which leads up to the next theory.

mephone is most likely going to find a way to bring everyone back through some way, and it might be through this system. I'm not saying I know how he's gonna do it, but this will totally be some sort of factor in the next act. hopefully.

second topic - what about bow and bot?

and I know what you all are thinking. I know that bow is definitely not gone, since she obviously isn't supported by melife anymore. (I'm a little curious, bow mentioned that she can't escape the confines of purgatory mansion, but since now that's been deleted, would she be able to roam free? just a thought...)

the same could be said for bot, since they were made by fan and test tube and not by melife. but there's been some speculation going around saying that since bot was made out of materials from test tube's lab, they would be deleted too right?

I actually think that's not necessarily the case.

we have no idea if test tube's materials or her lab was made out of things generated by melife. for all we know, she could have ordered the mechanical parts from overseas. she could have dug up the space she needed for the lab herself.

all we know is that the locations made for the game itself are generated by melife. however, test tube's lab has really nothing to do with the contest because it is its own thing.

so I think this entire theory is genuinely plausible. bot might still be out there somewhere, and I'm not going to say on the invitational island because we don't know if that entire thing was deleted too or just the floor's face. they genuinely might be making their way over to the season 2 grounds right now, wondering what is going on.

which could possibly make way for a bow and bot meeting, AND they might team up too to save the day!! that definitely feels like a direction that adam would be going for, and I personally would totally stand for it.

third topic - can mephone X be avoided or stopped somehow?

here's what I'm thinking.

lightbulb actually managed to dodge mephone X here, and even though yes she did get got in the end, you can at least delay the process or maybe even outrun them altogether.

there must be a reason as to why only the person who is being targeted can see mephone X, but that's a theory for another day.

now, this part is less of a theory and more of an idea - that is supported by numerous twitter posts - but what if you are able to see mephone X with another me device thingy?

think about it, what if taking a picture or just going through the camera app enables others to see them, therefore allowing the contestants to potentially disable mephone X for good?

assuming my theory is correct and they do come back somehow, I doubt that adam forgot about this plothole completely. there must be more significance to this in the future.

we all know how the main writing team writes. they think of everything, down to the small details, and the reference previous things that were thought to be insignificant before!! reminds me of bfdi in a way.

fourth topic - misc stuff/yapping

and well of course I had to dedicate an entire section to just my yapping alone. I know I'm still pretty new to blogging, I don't have many posts yet, but I think it's worth it to just leave my thoughts out here for people to cry over also.

firstly... OJ and paper's last conversation was an argument. lol!! XD!! also it was so funny as to how paper got so ticked off after salt said OJ is her boyfriend. I understand that he might have still felt pretty heated after everything that had been going on, + the argument they had earlier. and I know that OJ is very important to paper. but I still think it was really hilarious. some could say jealous. "he's not your boyfriend he was MINE!!"

ALSO!!! also also also THIS fucking scene...

this is gonna haunt me for the rest of my life man. what the fuck. imagine if slasher movies were like this... like jigsaw or something. if I saw this in a slasher movie I would be terrified for my LIFE (something these contestants don't have).

I really really liked the scene where paintbrush was crying over lightbulb btw. jazzy did an amazing job at that, and they said that they didn't even cry to be able to voice it!! she's a very talented va, I aspire to be like her someday...

another thing I wanted to mention is this tweet made by brian a while ago (screenshot I nabbed from me_phone4 on twitter) yes this is absolutely going to be for inanimate insanity. no questions asked. hope is on the horizon guys.

Abt mephone4 x (insert character) ships

we all certainly know mephone4 is a character that has alot of ships and some extremely disgusting ones too and im gonna talk abt that today. like at this point even thought mephone4 has barely any "ship proven scenes" and bcs of that im pretty sure the half shippers fandom is just desperately trying to find a perfect ship that includes mephone4 cuz like in the first 2 seasons a really popular ship was mephone4 x OJ, sorry if you ship it but i dont really see that ship happening althought mephoj has some really cute fanarts and all, but isnt like OJ already with paper all the way to season 1 in somewhere between the final episodes of ii1?, anyway the ship is kinda good it just needed a little more chemistry, aaaand its very wild if you saw the new ii s2 episode, so i guess its a "me x my oc" lol, but again theres nothing wrong with the ship, so i give it a 9/10 the fanarts of this ship is so god damn cute.

hey! so doing this would also filter out posts that art of taco seperate from suitcase as well. and i am a very big taco art collector. also, tacocase is not on my dni. i don’t care if tacocase shippers interact with me, most of them (that i’ve met) are super cool and nice!! tacocase doesn’t make me uncomfortable to an extent i will actively block out the tag i just get a little tired when i see the ship too much in a day.

Something very interesting I noticed is that the osc is full of people who headcanon every character in existance as autistic but the second there's a canon & visibly autistic character in a show, he immediately gets infantlized to hell and back and people think that him getting shipped with another adult (both are adults) is weird or even predatory... Sure theres no bias at all ?

the problem w/ being a bob's burgers fan is that even if its a popular tv show by any standard it doesnt really have a community of fans in the same way other tv shows or youtubers or whatever do so i only trust like my 12 tumblr mutuals to have Correct bob's burgers opinions. which means i cant listen to podcasts about it or watch youtube videos or anything. bcuz they arent high strung about it like we are. they dont get it

predictions for the next II episode la la la It's Nickel, I'm like 90% certain he's the next to go. (I feel like Silver is safe, because 1. Yin Yang who had a grudge is gone, 2. He's now allied with Nickel and Blueberry, before he was easy pickings/ there was literally no reason the others wouldn't all go for him, but now its 2 out of 4 on his side) And I don't feel like it's going to be Cabby, I just don't think it makes sense. Not when she's just been named Blueberry's target number one because that would mean Nickel is teaming up with someone to take another out AGAIN (like when he sided with Silver and Candle rather than Balloon) I feel like by the least she will stay at least one more episode after this.

Anyways, Nickel. I don't think they would eliminate Balloon before him, just because... that would be such a huge fuck you to Balloon, and Blueberry literally just rejoined (but i'll come back to him). But Nickel his character has been dragging on and on and now that there's only so many episodes left they have to finally do it.

The only person I see going instead of him is Blueberry. It's not impossible. Where maybe Nickel and Silver get fed up with him, / see how they are just repeating mistakes if he starts going against Cabby. I can see that. but thats just what I think

Dude I was so worried about episode 15. The last half of iii is genuinely some of the worst writing I've seen in a big object show and then. Just. The same team gives us what I think is my favorite episode of any show yet??????? Like how???????? I was talking about it with my friend a while ago and like. Did they just hate making season 3 and didn't give a shit or something, like what's the deal.

Anyways im in love with this outcome, and I have hope that the finale will be so awesome sauce yays

There are two sides of the osc getting popular and “going corp”

On one, creators are getting recognition they deserve for their amazing works that display entertainment available for all

On the other, I hope we aren’t the next homestucks, bronies, mha fans, undertale fans, and generally awful fandom.

One hand thinks “maybe we’ll see OSC Merch in Hot Topic or some geek stores.”

The other makes me think there’ll be off brand Walmart clothing.

What if the culture is lost to time? What if what the OSC’s unique premise is becomes some sort of pasttime?

Truly two sides to one coin.

introduction and account summary

-hi!! this account is the official tumblr updates and progress account of our recently coined osc called "Tricks and Tumbles!" we won't tell u the plot yet, but it will eventually be released soon!

-the account is run by seven people- basically our entire friendgroup. tat used to be a private project between the seven of us, but eventually, we opened up to making it public.

characters and plot

-as said in the intro, we won't be uploading the entire plot yet because it's not fully fleshed out. only two episodes/animations have been finalized in the plot, and the rest are in concept. the characters meanwhile, are all final but will need some finishing touches.

-characters are all unique ocs that we all made individually, and if any characters are the same as the original object shows, they are completely different characters and personalities.

-although the plot and story won't be uploaded, characters and character reference sheets will be! so u guys are free to see our characters :) .

like. ship what you ship. i don’t care. i have good friends who don’t mind or really like tacocse and i don’t care but i fucking. THEY. AREN’T GOOD FOR EACH OTHER. one of them is literally delusional and the other one has probably never been in a real healthy relationship before???? NEITHER OF THEM HAVE ACTUALLY. they would tear each other apart unconsciously. again no hate to tacocse shippers i’m just. so tired of seeing tacocse on my dashboard just because i follow all of the tags for taco…

they would make each other uncomfortable. they wouldn’t actually understand each other’s feelings in a way that’s healthy or would let the relationship progress. and maybe i’m wrong, maybe i’m only saying this because i’m reflecting onto the ship, you’re allowed to come in and correct me and my information on this
